audio work

NIRVANA’S MTV UNPLUGGED ALBUM REVIEW This is a project I worked on for an audio course I took through UCF’s radio-television program. I worked on a lot of jazz album reviews at WUCF-FM, but it was really fun to work with a type of music I was more familiar with in this piece. This is the project I’m the most proud of from my time at UCF!

WUCF CHRISTMAS ALBUM REVIEW This Christmas album review was written, voiced, and edited by me! I was so excited to hear my own voice on the radio, and it is not lost on me what an awesome opportunity it was to have so much creative control over the project. I didn’t pick the albums, but I picked which songs from the albums to play. This piece aired as I started my long drive from Orlando, Florida to Scranton, Pennsylvania where I moved after graduation in December 2018.

WUCF CHRISTMAS SPECIAL This is a Christmas special that was included in an episode of our show Magazine. Brad Waldo, the program director at WUCF, voiced the piece. I wrote the script, chose the songs, and edited the piece together, and I’m really happy with how it turned out.

WUCF JAZZ ALBUM REVIEWS These are some great examples of the album reviews I worked on at WUCF. One of the hosts would interview an artist, and I would cut down that interview to about 12 minutes and add music to it for air. The total projects would usually about 20 minutes long. (Top: Kayonne Riley interviews Meredith Ochs about her book, “Rock and Roll Woman”. Bottom: Brad Waldo interviews Stefon Harris about his album “Sonic Creed“.)
